Tight Access? No Problem!

We’re always keen for a challenge, have a look at what we did with our trusted drillers here!

Access ramp for drilling rig up steps

During some recent site work in St Andrews we were asked to undertake falling head tests within boreholes at a property with very restricted access. This involved manoeuvring a window sampling drilling rig through a narrow alleyway (900mm) and up a steep set of stairs. No problem with a bit of creative thinking! Our drilling partners at GD Drilling constructed a platform and ramp system to allow the rig to be moved safely onto site to allow the boreholes and testing to be completed.

It worked just as well when demobilising!

  1. That’s a really wonderful technique to move the stuff properly even in a tight access place. It is necessary to make sure that nothing is damaged in the process. Along with that, proper equipment and technique should be adopted. Thanks.
