Groundwater Treatment

Groundwater treatment is in general an approach where identified contaminants are removed from the water by what is commonly known in the remediation contracting business as a ‘pump & treat’ process.  To explain, we ‘pump’ the water from source through a ‘treat’ment system, simple. I’d be a happier man if it is as easy as it sounds… although the boss might not as we’d have more competition…

A summary of the field of water remediation from a remediation contractors persepctive.  There are many types of water contaminants, both organic and inorganic.  Treatment of organic contaminants such as hydrocarbons (oily waters included) can be approached with a series of filters and absorbents.  Treatment of inorganic contaminants can involve more complex processes including reverse osmosis.

The beautiful picture above is from a recent de-watering exercise of ours, we mobilised at short notice to tackle contaminated waters at high treatment rates with heavy sedimentation.
